Ultimate has already defined the injured player’s replacement Dominick Cruz in the bantamweight clash against Jimmie rivera at UFC 219, December 30th, in Las Vegas (USA). This is Brazilian John Lineker, who is officially scheduled for the organization's last card in 2017. The information was released by the UFC itself.

Lineker, currently number 5 in the under-61kg division ranking, won five of the six fights he had in the bantamweight division, being surpassed only by the champion TJ Dillashaw. His last triumph was in October this year, when he overcame Marlon Vera by unanimous decision in the UFC Sao Paulo. A former flyweight, he has, in total, 11 positive results and three negative results in the organization.
Rivera, one position higher in the rankings, is undefeated in the UFC, having won all five of his fights. His most recent victory was against São Paulo Thomas almeida, last July. In Ultimate, in addition to Thominhas, he has already defeated Brazilians Peter Munhoz e Iuri Marajó. In total, he has 21 triumphs and only one setback on his record.
UFC 219 will be led by the duel between the champion Chris Cyborg e Holly holm, valid for the women's featherweight belt. Two other Brazilians are also confirmed on the show. Light weight Edson Barboza faces Khabib Nurmagomedov, while flyweight Matheus Nicolau returns after more than a year without fighting to measure forces with Louis Smolka.
