If it depends on Ronaldo Jacare, he already has a set date, location and opponent to return to the Octagon. Through his social networks, the middleweight revealed that the UFC offered him a duel against Derek Brunson for February 3rd, on the card that will take place in Belém, Pará. According to the Brazilian, the proposal was accepted, depending only on a positive response from the North American for it to be made official.

If the fight gets off the ground, it will be a rematch, as the two already faced each other in 2012, still in the now defunct Strikeforce. On that occasion, Jacaré knocked out Brunson just 42 seconds into the fight.
Jacaré, 37 years old, last acted in April this year, when he was knocked out by Robert whittaker. In the UFC since 2013, he has competed nine fights in the organization, winning seven, including knockout and Vitor belfort and conclusions about Gegard Mousasi and Tim Boetsch, and lost two, to Yoel romero in contested decision and Whittaker. In total, he has a record of 24 wins, five losses and no contest.
Brunson, in turn, is coming off two knockout victories over Dan Kelly, in June this year, and Lyoto Machida, in October. Before, he had two defeats in a row: he was knocked out by Robert whittaker, in November 2016, and Anderson Silva, last February. At 33 years old, he has nine triumphs and three setbacks in Ultimate.
