Nick Diaz reappears and says: “I never ran away from a fight”

Fighter attacks UFC and calls press conferences

The always controversial Nick Diaz created another one in the world of MMA. The fighter who did not attend the UFC 137 press conference, held this Wednesday afternoon (7), was cut from the event, where he would compete for the welterweight belt against Georges St Pierre. But after the announcement of his departure from the show, Diaz published a video on YouTube, where he complained about the cut and called the UFC press conferences a “beauty contest”.

“I never ran away from a fight! I just didn't go to the beauty contest”, said Nick, who attacked the UFC, stating that the organization took him out of a boxing fight for a high salary, but now he doesn't want to pay the deal.

“I was going to box, make some money and probably lose some teeth. I was ready for boxing, but they (UFC) offered me the fight with GSP for the same money and took me out of there (from boxing). But now it looks like they've decided to save money and I'm stuck with a new contract. All I know is that I’m ready to fight,” he added.

With all the controversy, Georges St Pierre will defend the welterweight belt against Carlos Condit, while Dana White, president of the UFC, stated that he has a contractual basis to fire Diaz, however, he has not yet made this decision.

Double haste on Dana's part: Taking Nick out of the race and quickly choosing Condit to replace him. Condit would start facing the best in the category, starting with BJ Penn, now he took a leap and will face GSP. I didn't like that decision. If the main fight of UFC 137 is not another mess from GSP, it will be a massacre on his part.

I agree that Dana's attitude was hasty, but I don't think it will be an easy fight for GPS due to Condit's fighting style, it will be a tied fight on the ground but it won't be easy.

Ugh... but a close fight from George Saint Paciencia... I was hoping to see Nick Diaz pass the car in Candense, at least try, but from what I saw it was already over!!
