He faces North American Ben Nguyen at UFC 221, on February 10, in Perth, Australia. On the same card, Tyson Peter faces Saparbek Safarov, in a duel valid for the light heavyweight category. The clashes were announced by Ultimate itself.

Nguyen, in turn, is looking for his third consecutive triumph, after defeating Geane Herrera on points and Tim Elliott by completion. In five fights in the company, he won four and lost just one, in July 2016, when he was knocked out by Louis Smolka.
