Shortly after starring in one of the biggest events in the history of sports, Conor McGregor revealed that he has some requirements to make his return to the UFC official. The lightweight champion has several options inside and outside of MMA for his next fight and needs Ultimate to make certain concessions to attract him back to the Octagon. And the main one is to place him as a co-promoter of his own fights.

In an interview with journalists reproduced by the British website Severe MMA, McGregor spoke about the conditions he imposed on Ultimate regarding his return and admitted that the organization wants him to return before the end of 2017.
“I was one of the promoters of the superfight against Floyd Mayweather and now we are in the negotiation phase for my return to the UFC. But I don't enter the octagon if I'm not part of the whole system, if I'm not the co-promoter of my fight (…) They (new UFC owners) want me to come back before the end of the year to help them finish with the debt made so they could buy the UFC and I'm here seeing and reviewing the types of wars I went through and, thinking here, I need to be patient. I have no hurry. I'm in an excellent position. I'm at the level of having money forever. They’re still counting how much I won, so I’m fine,” McGregor revealed.
The Irishman spoke before the premiere of the documentary “Notorious”, which followed him from the beginning of his career in the UFC to the superfight with Floyd Mayweather, passing through his knockouts against Chad Mendes e José Aldo, defeat and revenge in the face of Nate diaz and the victory over Eddie Alvarez, which left him with two UFC belts at the same time, a feat never achieved before.
