Canadian Georges St Pierre returns to MMA, this Saturday (4), looking to make history. When facing the champion Michael Bisping at UFC 217, in a fight valid for the middleweight title, GSP will try to become only the fourth fighter to have been UFC champion in two different categories, after the feats of Conor McGregor, Randy Couture and B.J. “It doesn’t get any bigger than that. I'm fighting for the title against the record holder for wins in UFC history. I'm fighting for my legacy. I'm also fighting to join an elite group of athletes who have won two titles in two divisions. I can't think of a better scenario (…) I'm very happy to be here. I've been working on this for four years. I never stopped training, I never took a vacation. During this period, I trained for fun and now I am training for performance. I only have one focus, which is to become world champion again”, guaranteed GSP.

Even though he hasn't fought since 2013, St. Pierre is recognized as the greatest welterweight in history. Champion on two different occasions, the Canadian has defended his belt eight times and has beaten names like Matt hugs, B.J. Penn, Jon Fitch, Thiago Pitbull, Nick Diaz, Carlos Condit e Jake Shields in your career.
