Knocked out by Derek Brunson upon his return to the octagon after 28 months away, Lyoto Machida left a bitter taste upon his return to the UFC. However, despite the setback, the Brazilian received, this Tuesday (31), good news: his name appeared again in the ranking of the middleweight division: now, he is number 13 on the list, ahead of only the North- American Brad Tavares and his compatriot Thiago Marreta. Brunson, in turn, moved up one position and is in 6th, surpassing Anderson Silva.

The American bad boy rose four positions in the welterweight rankings and moved to fourth place, leaving behind names like Carlos Condit, Rafael dos Anjos, Jorge masvidal e Demian Maia, which lost two places and dropped to fifth.
Two more Brazilians did well in the ranking update. Light weight Francisco Massaranduba, which hit Jim Miller in the decision, he returned to 15th place in the under-70kg ranking. Same situation as flyweight Deiveson Figueiredo, who appears in the same position in his division after taking Jarred Brooks' unbeaten record.
