The day after cody garbrandt, current bantamweight champion, expressed interest in facing the owner of the UFC flyweight title, Demetrious Johnson, his great rival TJ Dillashaw repeated his wish for “No Love” and also showed himself open to taking on “Mighty Mouse” after he duels with Garbrandt, in the co-main fight of UFC 217, on November 4th.

In an interview with the North American podcast The MMA Hour, the former bantamweight champion praised Johnson, but assured that he feels capable of beating him, if he ever faces him.

“He's number one in the pound-for-pound rankings and he's on top of the world, but I feel like it's a fight I can win. I definitely think I could have stopped him from achieving the title defense record and it would have been great for him too, because a fight with me would have been something different and would have brought a lot of money to both of us. That's a fight I would love to do. It’s a fight with a lot of money involved and knowing that I can make flyweight…this fight is a fight that is definitely on my horizon”, declared Dillashaw.

The former champion was scheduled to face his former teammate at UFC 213, but Garbrandt was injured and the duel was cancelled. Thus, the president of Ultimate, Dana White, even tried to organize a duel between Dillashaw and Johnson, but the flyweight champion refused the offer and TJ had his fight with the current owner of the bantamweight belt rescheduled for UFC 217.
