Shogun believes in the end of prejudice after UFC Rio

The Brazilian Mauricio Shogun faces the North American Forrest griffin at UFC Rio in search of getting back on track for the organization's title. The Tupiniquim athlete, who in his last fight, in March, lost the belt in the light heavyweight category (up to 93 kg), wants to overcome an even bigger challenge outside the Octagon: prejudice.

For the 29-year-old fighter from Paraná, UFC Rio will be a milestone against the violent vision that the sport conveys to some people in the country.

“With UFC Rio, people will see that the sport is a show. It's our job! Those who are still prejudiced are because they don’t know anything,” said the Brazilian. “After Saturday, prejudice will end”, added Shogun.
