The Polish KSW event held its 40th edition in Ireland, last Sunday (22), and despite great fights, it was marked by confusion after the co-main fight of the night. After the duel between Norman Parke, a former UFC fighter, and Mariusz Gamrot was unsuccessful, one of those responsible for Gamrot's corner started a general fight after punching Parke in the face.

The duel was valid for the organization's lightweight belt, but it ended during the second round, when Gamrot measured the distance with the palm of his hand open and ended up putting his finger in Parke's eye. The Northern Irishman was unable to continue and the fight ended up as a No Contest (no result). After the result was announced, the teams of the two fighters were confused and one of Gamrot's coaches threw a blow at Parke.
KSW 40 also featured Brazilian Ariane Lipski's first title defense. Flyweight champion of the event, the Rasthai Temple fighter submitted her compatriot Mariana morais, companion of Jessica Stacker on PRVT, with just 58 seconds of fight.
