The bantamweight champion cody garbrandt will have a big challenge in his first title defense. He faces his former teammate TJ Dillashaw, in the co-main fight of UFC 217, on November 4th. However, the North American has plans that go beyond his category and even beyond MMA. “No Love” guaranteed to knock out Conor McGregor if the two of them had a boxing match.

Recently, the UFC lightweight champion participated in one of the biggest events in history, debuting in the noble art against the undefeated and former champion Floyd Mayweather. Despite the defeat, McGregor was praised for his performance. Garbrandt, however, appears unimpressed with the Irishman.
“I think getting into a boxing ring against Conor McGregor it would be great, or even in MMA. I have nothing against him, but I believe I'm a better boxer than him. I think I'm one of the best boxers in the UFC. I step into a ring and knock out Conor McGregor in boxing, to be honest. It makes no difference if he is left-handed, or if he would come with a right-handed base. I get there and knock him out. I have the best boxing in the game, in the UFC, and I'm ready to show it on another level”, said Garbrandt, in an interview with the Five Rounds podcast, on the North American ESPN website.
Despite declaring that he has nothing against McGregor, the bantamweight champion has already been involved in a dispute with the Irishman. During the recording of TUF 22, which had Conor and Urijah faber as coaches, Garbrandt even pushed the lightweight champion during an argument. “No Love” was present on the reality show as one of Faber’s trainers.
