The city of Manaus, in Amazonas, will be the next Brazilian city to host an edition of the UFC. The organization, which is holding a show this Saturday (27), in Rio de Janeiro has already scheduled the date for its return. The official announcement was made this Tuesday after a meeting between governor Omar Aziz and businessman Lorenzo Fertitta, majority shareholder of Ultime.
“Imagine all this contingent of people around the world getting to know Manaus and the Amazon. This brings a great legacy to our city”, said Aziz. In turn, Lorenzo is excited about the agreement and guarantees to include athletes from the region on the card.
“The opportunity to hold the UFC in Manaus and bring home some of the great fighters from this region is something that we are very excited about,” said Lorenzo.
