The Brazilian Rafael Dos Anjos could take a decisive step towards a title fight in the welterweight category. Ultimate announced this Thursday (12) that he will face the former champion of the category Robbie Lawler in the main fight of UFC On Fox 26, which will be held in Winnipeg, Canada, on December 16th.

After moving up from lightweight to welterweight, RDA achieved two important victories, beating the former Strikeforce champion Tarec saffiedine by decision and then finalizing Neil Magny in the first round. Now, the former lightweight champion is probably one win away from challenging the current welterweight belt holder, Tyron woodley, who still doesn't have a defined opponent after his victory over Demian Maia at UFC 214.
Robbie Lawler, who lost the title to Woodley in the middle of last year, spent a year recovering from the knockout he suffered against the new champion and also returned at UFC 214, achieving an important victory over Donald Cerrone. “Ruthless” won the belt at UFC 171, winning a rematch with John hendricks, and defended his title twice, against Rory McDonald e Carlos Condit before being defeated by “The Chosen One” at UFC 201 in July 2016.
Three other Brazilians are already confirmed for UFC Winnipeg. The light heavyweights Rogério Minotouro e Glover Teixeira face Jared Cannonier e Misha Cirkunov, respectively, while middleweight Vitor “Lex Luthor” Miranda faces off against Julian Márquez. Other duels announced: Tim Elliott x Justin Scoggins, by the flies, and Alessio di chirico x Oluwale Bamgbose, valid for midfielders.
