Ultimate recently released the official trailer for UFC 217, an event scheduled for November 4th, at the mythical Madison Square Garden arena, in New York. Entitled “Battle Cry”, the video shows St. Pierre with a kimono, while he talks about the motivations behind his return to MMA, as well as scenes from some of his biggest battles, against Jake Shields, B.J. Penn, Dan Hardy, as well as scenes of the rivalry between the Canadian and Nick Diaz e John hendricks, his last two opponents. The trailer also features interviews with coach Firas Zahabi, responsible for all of the former welterweight champion's preparation.
Finally, the video touches on the controversial retirement of GSP, who hung up his gloves in 2013, aged 32, at his physical peak. The Canadian admits that he felt pressured in the search for perfection and needed time to regain his love for martial arts. Michael Bisping appears at the end, as the “biggest challenge of St. Pierre’s career”. In his style, the Englishman takes the opportunity to insult GSP in the short time he appears.
