After Augusto Tanquinho suffered a tibia injury and left the UFC Sao Paulo, the organization acted quickly and has already found a replacement for the Brazilian. This is the carioca Raoni barcelos, who will face Boston Salmon on October 28th, at the Ibirapuera gym, in a duel valid for the bantamweight category (up to 61kg). The information is from the ‘Combate’ channel website.

The last featherweight champion of the now defunct RFA event, Raoni has 12 fights as a professional, 11 wins and only one setback. His last performance was in October 2016, when he achieved his fourth consecutive victory by knocking out Dan Moret at RFA 45, when he defended the title in the under-66kg category.
Salmos, 26 years old, has a record with six positive results and one negative. His most recent fight – and the one that earned him entry into the UFC – was the victory against Ricky Turcios in the first episode of Dana White’s new reality show, ‘Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series’, last July.
O UFC Sao Paulo, the organization's last event in Brazil in 2017, will see the return of Lyoto Machida, suspended for the last 18 months. The former light heavyweight champion faces Derek Brunson in the main fight of the show, in a middleweight duel. Among the Brazilians, also in action will be names like Demian Maia, Antonio Shoe Guy, Thiago Marreta, Francisco Massaranduba and John Lineker.
