Anthony Johnson did not like the criticism received by Daniel Cormier. After being called weak by the light heavyweight champion and criticized for showing support for Jon Jones, 'Rumble' defended himself from the situation, complained about DC's statements and mocked his tormentor, saying that he would have to thank God for having the belt back.

“I didn’t know you were spiteful because I talk to the guy who knocked you out. You called me weak. Well, that's your opinion. Saying that I was an advisor to Jon. (laughs) Friend, what advice can I give you? I wasn't fighting any of you, so there's no point in giving advice. That's not my style! I believe in the world of fair fights. Friends? We were never friends! I respected all men in sport no matter what happens. I showed respect to Jones in his difficult times and I showed respect to you in the same way. I retired. I have other things in life that I want to do, but only because I met with the UFC and said you have a problem. So catch your tears, take care of yourself and thank God that Jon screwed up and you won the belt back,” Johnson wrote on social media.
Retired from MMA since April this year, when he was submitted for the second time by Daniel Cormier, Johnson may be close to returning to the octagon to fight in the heavyweight category, according to Ali Abdel-Aziz, the fighter's manager, revealed.
At 33 years old, Johnson has a record of 22 wins and six losses. There were 19 fights in the UFC, with 13 positive results and six negative results, having performed in three different categories: welterweight (up to 77kg), middleweight (up to 84kg) and light heavyweight (up to 93kg).
