Former heavyweight champion, Fabricio Werdum He doesn't hide the fact that his biggest goal is to return to the top of the 120kg category. The controversial defeat to alistair overeem, in July this year, delayed the Brazilian's plans, who hopes to regain his place in the challenger line after UFC 216, this Saturday (07), when he faces Derrick Lewis. “I deserve (a title fight). Miocic hasn't fought in a long time. I don't know for how long, but he hasn't fought in a long time. I think any of the three of us, between me, Overeem and Ngannou can compete for the title. I think, perhaps, that if Derrick Lewis knock me down he might as well get one. But he doesn't deserve that right now. I think with a good fight, a good performance, a good knockout, the fans will say: 'Werdum, you're next'. I believe I should get a title fight”, declared Fabrício, in an interview with the website 'MMAJunkie'.

“I want to win the Derrick Lewis. I respect him because I know he's a fighter. He has a strong punch, he also has good strikes. He is in my way, but my objective is a new title fight”, he concluded.
