Pezão reinforces the Minotauro Team

Heavyweight Antonio “Pezão” Silva is the new addition to the Minotauro Team. The team led by the brothers Rodrigo Minotauro e Rogério Minotouro, offers the fighter all the structure and support, where he has been training for more than two months focused on the Strikeforce GP belt.

“I will continue living in Florida with my family and always before the fight I come to train here in Brazil. I just joined the Team Nogueira team, which for me is a great satisfaction”, said Pezão.

“In fact, in 2006, I had spent a year here in Brazil with Rodrigo and in one of our conversations I already said that he needed to set up an academy, a team. At the time he wasn't very interested, as it would be too much of a headache, so I accepted the American Top Team contract and months later Rodrigo set up his team”, he recalled. Pezão has been training hard with, in addition to the Nogueira brothers, beasts like Junior Gypsy, Anderson Silva.

“I'm focused on the stand-up fight, I've been preparing with the Anderson Silva, Erivan and Cigano, not to mention that I'm training a lot on ground, which is my area. If the fight goes to stand-up striking I will try to knock him out and if he puts me on the ground I will sweep and submit him”, he concluded.
