After signing with Bellator, Léo Leite debuts against former champion Phil Davis

A few days after being confirmed as Bellator's new signing, Brazilian Léo Leite has already received a date, location and opponent to make his debut with the organization. He faces the former light heavyweight champion Phil Davis at Bellator 186, November 3, in Pennsylvania. The information was given first hand on the 'Combate' channel website,

An MMA professional for just four years and former Legacy champion, Léo, aged 39, has a perfect record, with ten wins in ten professional fights. His last performance was in November 2016, when he beat Moise Rimbom by unanimous decision at Fight 2 Night, an event created by global actor Bruno Gagliasso. The fighter's record has three wins by knockout, three by submission and four by points.

Davis lost the division belt after being defeated by Ryan bader at Bellator 180, in June this year, in his first defense. After winning the category tournament in 2015 with triumphs over Emmanuel Newton and Francis Carmont, he qualified for the position of challenger by overcoming King mo by unanimous decision. Winning the title came in the victory over former champion Liam McGeary, at Bellator 163, in April 2016. Former UFC fighter, the North American has 17 wins, four losses and one no contest in his professional record.

The event will also feature the current champion Ryan bader putting his belt on the line for the first time. He faces Englishman Linton Vassell.
