About to face her compatriot in the second most important fight of UFC Japan, which takes place this Friday (22), in Saitama, Claudinha provoked by questioning her rival's skills, insinuating that Jéssica is more 'bred than technical.

“I think she didn't respect me very much when she went to fight Joanna, she said some random things, but, of course, they didn't offend me at all. I knew that her fight with Joanna would lead to that. I respect my opponents, I don’t like “trash talk” and I won’t respond with words. We are from the same country, the same job and I just have to respect her. Jéssica is a fighter with a lot of heart, with determination, but I think she has no technique, very combative”, she declared, in an interview with the 'Combate' channel's website.
Coming off two consecutive victories, Gadelha knows that a triumph over Bate-Estaca could give him a new chance to challenge for the strawweight category belt, which is currently in the possession of Joanna Jedrzejczyk, who has already beaten her on two occasions. Although she emphasizes that the focus is on her next challenge, the Brazilian cannot hide her anxiety about fighting for the title again.
“Honestly, I’m not thinking about a title fight right now. At least, I try not to think about it too much or about the title fights I lost. I'm only focused on this fight, but, for sure, after Jéssica, I'll want to face the champion. I don't want to change categories, I feel like strawweight is my division, but I could, perhaps one day, try myself at 57kg (flyweight). But my motivation, of course, is to win in Japan and go after the belt”, she concluded.
