The Brazilian Douglas lima there is already a date to put the Bellator welterweight belt on the line. He faces the former UFC Rory McDonald January 20th, in Los Angeles, in an event that has not yet had its name confirmed. The information was given first hand by the newspaper 'LA Times'.

Douglas is coming off a victory over another former UFC fighter. He beat Lorenz Larkin at Bellator 180 in June, retaining the division belt. The Brazilian had regained the division belt by knocking out the Russian Andrei Koreshkov at Bellator 164, in November last year. In 2015, he had lost the title to Andrey himself, at Bellator 140. He then recovered by handily beating Englishman Paul Daley, in July 2016. In total, Lima has 29 positive results and six negative results as a professional ( 11-2 in company).
Former UFC welterweight division challenger (up to 77kg), MacDonald debuted in Bellator in May this year, when he submitted Paul Daley in edition 179. In his former job, he beat names like Demian Maia, B.J. Penn, Nate diaz e Tyron woodley. At 28 years old, the Canadian has a professional record of 19 wins and four losses.
