Brazilian heavyweight is removed from UFC São Paulo after being found guilty of doping

The heavy weight Carlos Boi will have to wait a little longer to make his UFC debut. Scheduled to face Danish Christian Colombo at the event that will take place in São Paulo, on October 28th, the fighter was removed from the card after being notified of a potential violation of the USADA (United States Anti-Doping Agency) anti-doping policy. The prohibited substance used by the Brazilian has not yet been revealed.

Undefeated in MMA, Boi, at 22 years old, won his eight fights, six by knockout and two by points. His most recent triumph was in May this year, when he knocked out Francisco 'Apaga a luz' in the second edition of Qualify Combat.

O UFC Sao Paulo, the organization's last event in Brazil in 2017, will see the return of Lyoto Machida, suspended for the last 18 months. The former light heavyweight champion faces Derek Brunson in the main fight of the show, in a middleweight duel. Among the Brazilians, also in action will be names like Demian Maia, Antonio Shoe Guy, Thiago Marreta, Francisco Massaranduba and John Lineker.
