Pointed out as a possible next challenge for José Aldo, Cub swanson doesn't seem to be very excited about facing the Brazilian. “Aldo is challenging me now, but I've been asking for this fight for years. He could have made this confrontation happen at any time. Now he expects me to accept when he determines? No. Aldo doesn't have the belt anymore, so it's not as profitable to fight him anymore. Just putting it into perspective, fighting him now, I would receive a quarter of what he earned when he was defeated by Max Holloway”, declared Cub, in an interview with the website 'FloCombat'.

Aldo has already revealed that he intends to perform at UFC 217, on November 4th, in New York. However, if it depends on Swanson, the possible confrontation will be on another date. According to the fighter, his return to the Octagon should only happen in December or early 2018.

“Aldo is asking for this fight in November, but I have no intention of fighting during that period. He asked for me specifically, but he wants it to be at the November event. Whatever fight I take, I'm going to make sure I have 14 weeks (of training), which could be on the card at the end of the year. I have a lot going on in my life and I need to make sure I make all the adjustments I need. I'm not going to rush anything at this point. I'm going to talk to the UFC in the next few weeks and then I'm going to find out who is available to fight in this period that I'm targeting, because this is my career and I'm the one who's entering the octagon. I always want to do my best and my best comes with the right way of training and preparing”, he concluded.
