Chris Cyborg is getting closer and closer to swapping MMA gloves for boxing gloves. This Wednesday (06), the California Athletic Commission (CSAC) granted the license for the Curitiba native to practice the noble art. Cyborg's contract with the UFC ends in October, but she can now negotiate with other organizations.

According to information from the “MMA Fighting” website, Cyborg had already registered with the CSAC boxing federation. She would be preparing to perform in the women's boxing junior middleweight division (up to 69,8kg).
Chris Cyborg, 31 years old, won the UFC women's featherweight belt last July, when she knocked out Tonya Evinger in edition 214. Previously, she had had two fights in Ultimate, both at catchweight (up to 63,5kg). Her debut came at UFC 198, in Curitiba, in May 2016, when she knocked out Leslie Smith. Afterwards, she knocked out Lina Lansberg in the UFC Brasilia, last September. In total, Cris has a record with 18 victories – 16 of them by knockout -, one defeat and one unsuccessful fight.
