Michel Trator dominates newcomer on the ground and finishes in R3

Michel Trator from Pará continues, step by step, establishing his name as one of the strengths of the lightweight division. With an impeccable performance, he controlled newcomer Mads Burnell on the ground during the first two rounds and settled the score in the last round with a beautiful submission from a north-south position, exactly the same as he did in his previous triumph, in March of this year. This was Trator's fifth consecutive victory in the under-70kg division, his seventh in the UFC – he still has two defeats. The Dane lost his second in ten professional fights.

Tractor starting the fight, combining blows with attempted takedowns, taking the Dane to the ground in the first minute. In half guard, Michel tried to grab Burnell's neck, who was defending himself efficiently. Physically stronger, the Brazilian easily controlled the actions from above, sweeping from one side to the other. Mads managed to free himself and got to his feet, but for a very short time, as he was taken to the ground again. The scenario was repeated until the gong sounded, with Tractor hitting on top.

Aware of the disadvantage, Burnell returned trying to land direct shots on the Brazilian, who responded in kind. The Dane landed a strong cross on Michel, who felt it and quickly went down. Once again on top, Trator threw elbows from half guard, always looking for mount. Burnell tried to sweep his way out of the bottom, but his rival's physical strength stood out. The heated fight provoked boos from the audience in the arena. Tractor even tried to apply a choke in the final seconds, but he didn't have time to work.

The last round began with frank exchanges between the two, but Trator soon opted to take the fight to the ground again. The Brazilian quickly went to the north-south position, lassoed Burnell's neck and forced his rival to give three taps in resignation.

Taisumov delivers brutal knockout to Felipe Silva

Brutal! This is how Mairbek Taisumov's victory over Brazilian Felipe Silva can be defined. 1m24s into the fight, the Russian delivered a beautiful counterattack to the Brazilian's chin, who fell unconscious. Felipe, who had debuted in Ultimate with a knockout victory in August 2016, suffered his first defeat in nine fights as a professional. Taisumov, in turn, scored his fifth consecutive victory in the lightweight category, establishing himself as a promise in the category.

The confrontation started off studiously, with the Brazilian timidly trying to take control of the octagon. Taisumov landed a strong kick on Felipe's leg, who tried to go all out, but was surprised by a hard right counterattack, which exploded onto the miner's chin, immediately putting him out.

The first Brazilian to take action, Francimar Bodão was unable to impose his takedown game and was easily dominated by the newcomer Aleksandar rakic. With an aggressive posture and 12 years younger, the Austrian avoided the Brazilian's attempts to take the fight to the ground and showed good ease on his feet, with fast and strong hands, which even rocked his rival. At 25 years old, Rakic has won his eighth consecutive victory, the ninth in his professional record, which includes one defeat. Bodão, in turn, lost for the third time in the UFC – in total, he still has four victories and one fight without result in the organization.

The duel started off studiously, with both fighters attacking little. Bodão, even without effectiveness, surrounded the Austrian, who tried to surprise with overheads. After an attempted kick from the Brazilian, Rakic defended well and responded with good blows, including a strong uppercut on Bodão, who recovered well. In the final seconds, Francimar tried to put the fight down, without success.

Rakic returned more effective for the second stage, connecting two good blows on Bodão, who didn't respond. Unable to put his game into practice, the Brazilian started to be cornered and easily hit by his opponent, who was growing in combat. After three unsuccessful attempts to take the fight to the ground, Francimar finally managed to take down. On top, the Brazilian did little work, allowing the Austrian to get back to his feet. In the final seconds, Rakic landed a good cross on the Brazilian, who shook, but recovered and applied another takedown.

The third round started at a lukewarm pace, with no effectiveness from either side. Rakic, however, was the one hunting the Brazilian in the Octagon. Bodão was unable to take the fight to the ground, while the Austrian continued hitting his rival, who became a fixed target. Bodão hit an illegal shot in the opponent's “low countries”, which he felt. After a few moments of the fight being stopped, Francimar returned looking for Rakic's legs, who was frustrating the Brazilian's attempts.
