The UFC announced, last Tuesday night (29), that it will reimburse fans who purchased the pay-per-view package for the superfight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor but suffered from problems broadcasting the event. Ultimate reiterated, however, that it will only refund those who made the purchase through the organization's online platform, ufc.tv.

Through an official statement made through his company's social networks, president Dana White apologized for some problems that occurred during the broadcast of the fight. Many subscribers complained about the delay in purchasing the package or instability at the time of the fight, with cuts being made all the time. Others weren't even able to see the fight, even though they bought the pay-per-view package for around US$100. Kelvin Gastelum, a UFC middleweight fighter, was one of those who complained on social media that he had bought the Mayweather x McGregor pay-per-view and had not been able to watch the duel.

“We always try to match the biggest and most exciting fights. We want our fans to have the best experience possible when attending our events. Unfortunately, we were unable to deliver the best experience possible on Saturday due to NeuLion's technical issues with ufc.tv. As always, we always take care of our fans and we will make this right. We have started the refund process immediately for anyone who was unable to access the fight after purchasing it.”
