At the end of the super fight between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather, most fans and experts were impressed with the performance of the Irishman who, despite having no previous experience in professional boxing, survived almost ten rounds against one of the greatest boxers of all time. However, the father of the American boxer, Floyd Sr., is not one of those. His son’s coach said the “Notorious” performance was pathetic.

“I was not impressed. I've never seen anyone talk as much as he did before a fight and, after that, act like that. I mean, the way he fought was pathetic. He gave a pathetic performance. All the illegal punches, everything he did wrong, punching the back of the head, etc... I mean, come on, man, all of this is really crazy”, declared Floyd Sr. to the North American press after the fight.
After the press conference, Leonard Ellerbe, president of Mayweather Promotions and fight promoter with Floyd Jr., suggested that McGregor could have a long and prosperous boxing career if he wanted. Floyd Sr., however, strongly disagrees.
“I’ll be honest, man. He didn't show me anything, no boxing. I didn't see anything of him. Let me tell you something, man. If he continues to fight and invest in boxing, someone will kill him,” he warned.
