Heavyweight champion of Áspera FC, Ricardo Prasel from Paraná, known as Ricardo Alemão, is used to working with gloves, but the accessories used were not always MMA. With just five years of fighting professionally, the Brazilian was a football goalkeeper before switching to martial arts. With spells at Atlético-PR and Chelsea, in England, he abandoned his career on the pitch due to a chronic hip injury.

In MMA, however, the rise was meteoric. In new professional fights, there are nine victories, eight by submission and one by knockout. The goal now is to be signed by the UFC.
“I hope my next fight will be in the UFC, which is my big dream. I just won the belt at Aspera, the biggest in Brazil, and I want to go to the biggest in the world, right? I hope my next fight will be inside. I’ve already proven to everyone what I’m capable of”, declared the fighter.
Alemão, 27 years old, last acted at the beginning of August, the 12th, when he needed just 42 seconds to submit Edison Lopes at Áspera 55, held in Maringá. The triumph earned him the organization's heavyweight belt.
