During the preparation for the superfight with Floyd Mayweather, which takes place next Saturday (26), Conor McGregor appears to have created yet another rivalry against a former world boxing champion. After leaking photos showing his superiority over Paulie Malinaggi in training, the Irishman came face to face with the North American this Tuesday (22) during a press event before the duel with “Money”. The two argued harshly and had to be separated before the argument turned into a fight.

In a video made by journalist Helen Yee, Conor and Paulie appear arguing. The Irishman asks Malinaggi to forget “the beating he took”, while the former world champion says that his rival needs to take his “c…” to the superfight with Floyd Mayweather. The two then approach each other, but do not touch.

The rivalry began with photos leaked by Conor, but had its main chapter when Dana White, president of the UFC, released a video on his social networks in which McGregor clearly appears knocking Malinaggi during the sparring session between the two. After the images were released, the former boxer, who retired this year and was initially willing to help “Notorious” against Floyd, formally challenged Conor to a boxing fight and said he would come out of retirement, just like Mayweather, to face the Irish.
