Canadian Georges St Pierre He stood out in his last fights before retiring due to his conservatism, preferring to dominate his opponents and not seek a knockout or submission. His last seven wins have been by decision. The former welterweight champion admits that he held back in some of his duels rather than seeking interruption. “If they didn’t open up, I would do enough to win the fight. I was winning, so I didn't necessarily change. They accepted defeats. Before the fight ended, they already knew they would lose, so they just fought to avoid taking too much of a beating. On my side, I was really fighting just to win, but it's hard.
