the card of UFC Sao Paulo, which takes place on October 28th, at the Ibirapuera gym, continues to take shape. The fifth Brazilian confirmed for the event is bantamweight Augusto Tanquinho, who faces newcomer Boston Salmon. The information was given first-hand by the American website ‘MMA Today’.

World jiu-jitsu champion, Tanquinho is under pressure for the duel, needing victory to avoid the risk of dismissal. After debuting being knocked out by cody garbrandt, in February 2016, he recovered or beat Frankie Saenz in January of this year, but was defeated again, this time to aljamain sterling, last April. At 34 years old, he has only eight fights as a professional, six of which were positive and two were negative.
Salmos, in turn, also doesn't have much experience in MMA: at 26 years old, he has six wins and one setback. His most recent performance – which earned him entry into the UFC – was his victory against Ricky Turcios in the first episode of Dana White's new reality show, 'Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series'.
The main fight of UFC Sao Paulo will be a middleweight duel (up to 84kg) between Lyoto Machida e Derek Brunson. Three more Brazilians are confirmed on the show: Glover Teixeira, Antonio Carlos Shoe Face and the rookie Carlos Boi.
