Recently, the heavyweight Fabricio Werdum revealed that he would like to face Derrick Lewis in your next fight. And their wish seems to have been fulfilled, as the two agreed to face off and the fight should take place at UFC 216, an event that will take place in Las Vegas, on October 7th. The information is from the North American website MMA Fighting.

Coming off a controversial defeat to alistair overeem at UFC 213, “Vai Cavalo” seeks to get back on track to winning ways and put himself close to a fight for the belt he won at UFC 188, after a submission victory over Cain Velazquez, and lost ten events later, at UFC 198, at home, to Stipe Miocic. While the Croatian-American remains champion, having defended the title twice, against Overeem himself and against junior gypsy, Werdum beat Travis Browne before being overcome by the Dutch giant.
Lewis also comes from a setback. The North American was knocked out by Mark Hunt at UFC Auckland, in June this year, in the 400th event in Ultimate's history, including pay-per-views and Fight Nights. The loss to Hunt interrupted a six-game winning streak for the “Black Beast.”
UFC 216 does not yet have a guaranteed main fight, but everything indicates that it will be worth the title of some category. This is because the co-main fight of the night will be for the interim lightweight title, with Tony Ferguson facing up Kevin Lee. Other duels confirmed for the October 7th show: Thales leites x Brad Tavares, Beneil Dariush x Evan dunham and John Moraga vs. Magomed Bibulatov.
