Ultimate makes Anderson SIlva x Gastelum official at UFC China, in November

Now it's official: Anderson Silva He already has a date, place and opponent defined for his return to the Octagon. Spider faces the North American Kelvin Gastelum in the main fight of UFC Shanghai, an event that takes place on November 25th, in China. The fight was confirmed by Ultimate himself, who announced it on his social networks.

The duel between Anderson and Gastelum should have already taken place at UFC 212, in Rio de Janeiro, in June this year, but Kelvin was caught in an anti-doping test for marijuana use and suspended from the contest. According to the Combate channel website, the fight in China is a request from Silva himself, who is recording his participation in a film in the country.

Anderson Silva tries to rebuild his career. After breaking records for middleweight title defenses, ten in total, the former champion faced a long fast and went more than four years without a victory. However, in February this year, at UFC 208, Spider beat Derek Brunson by points and rediscovered the path to victory. At 42 years old, he has a record of 34 wins, eight losses and one fight without result.

Kelvin Gastelum, 25 years old, has an MMA record of 14 wins, three setbacks in one no contest. The North American won the 17th edition of TUF, the UFC's reality show, at welterweight (up to 77 kg.), in 2013. But after difficulties in reaching the category limit, he moved up to the middleweight division and added three triumphs and only one loss, against Chris Weidman, last July, in his last performance.
