The Brazilian Chris Cyborg does not hide from anyone his desire to make the first defense of his featherweight belt with Holly holm. Right after winning the 66 kg title. of Ultimate, at UFC 214, Cris began campaigning to face Holm, former bantamweight champion. She says that this is a fight that her fans want and, therefore, she is committed to getting the duel with the North American.

“This is a fight that the fans have been asking for. They want this fight. Holly is an excellent exchanger and so am I. If we face each other, there will certainly be a knockout. But there is nothing serious yet. I told Dana White I want to do this fight. I have respect for Holly, it's not a disrespectful challenge, but I think it would be a great fight for the fans. She has already fought at 66 kg. But I’ll be ready for whoever it is,” declared Cyborg, in a press conference in Brazil, captured by the North American website MMA Fighting.
Even assuring that there is nothing official regarding a fight with Holm, Cyborg is already studying his possible future opponent. The Brazilian admits that the North American has an excellent striking game, but warns that she will not be able to impose her elusive style against the Brazilian.
“She has a very good striking game, but she doesn’t have a lot of volume. She moves too much and releases few blows. In the fight with Bethe Correia She must have thrown about six punches before the knockout. She'll run into the ring, but I'll find her. I mean, she's already run away three other times. I was going to face her in Curitiba (at UFC 198), but she didn't want to. So, in Brasília, the same thing. She wanted me to hit 138 lbs. not 140 lbs. And now at UFC 214, the same thing”, reported the Brazilian.
