The controversial training sessions Conor McGregor with Paulie Malignaggi, former world boxing champion, are still making waves in the media. After releasing the video in which the Irishman appears knocking the boxer down, Dana White, president of the UFC, once again defended his athlete. According to the director, the training between them was not even balanced, as McGregor had 'beaten up' the North American.

“It was (a training session) very unbalanced, it was an absolute beating, and you know what else? I think it was good for Paulie Malignaggi to leave the camp, for the sake of his health,” he declared, in an interview with the “Sky Sports” website.
When asked about the published video, Dana once again stated that it had not been edited in any way. In a relaxed tone, he assured that he will be able to release the complete images after the duel between Conor and Floyd Mayweather, which takes place on August 26th.
“Am I Steven Spielberg by chance (laughs)? What it is! These are images of sparring! I was there for all 12 rounds, and Paulie Malignaggi said some crazy, some bad things about me… I felt sorry for the guy. It was a one-sided beating, and a lot of people were saying Conor couldn't box, Paulie was obviously lying about everything, so I released the footage. I have no problem releasing the entire tape, but the problem is that Conor doesn't want Mayweather to see everything he's doing, training. It was just short clips,” he concluded.
The highly anticipated clash between Mayweather and McGregor will headline the 'May-Mac' show in Las Vegas. During the last week, the preliminary fights for the card were announced, which will feature eight fights.
