The Brave Combat Federation, which holds its eighth edition in Curitiba, this Saturday (12), had a last minute change in one of its two title fights. Lebanese Mohammad Fakhreddine, who was due to face Carl Booth for the inaugural welterweight belt, fell ill during the weight cut and will be replaced by Carlston Harris.

The event organizers announced that Fakhreddine fell ill in the early hours of this Friday (11), hours before the official weigh-in, and had to take intravenous fluid, disqualifying him from the competition, as the CABMMA (Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission) prohibits this. practice. Harris, who was born in Guyana, but trains in Rio de Janeiro, was due to face veteran Rodrigo Cavalheiro, but was called to fight for the title against Englishman Carl Booth and the two agreed to face each other. Both reached the weight limit for the welterweight category.
Cavalheiro, who has already played for Bellator and KSW and would make his debut for Brave, was left without an opponent.
