In an interview with the program The MMA Hour, Zingano reported that she feels confident in being able to beat the Brazilian, considered the best fighter in history after remaining undefeated for 12 years.
“I was watching Cyborg vs. Evinger and every time she took a swing at Tonya, I thought I had an answer for that. Honestly, I know I can beat her. This fight at UFC 214 opened my eyes to some things and made me excited to one day face Cyborg. I think it's a fight I can win. When I'm healthy, no woman can deal with me, so I want to get there well and face Cyborg”, commented the American.
Zingano recently went through personal and health issues and hasn't fought since UFC 200, when she was defeated by Julianna Pena, after being out of MMA for a few years. Still, she wants to face Cyborg and also Amanda nunes, current bantamweight champion – the North American was responsible for the Lioness's only defeat in Ultimate.
“The two people who are really on my radar are Cyborg and Amanda. I already beat Nunes, so I think she should want to face me. I want to move up to featherweight, but I also want to stay active at bantamweight because the top division isn’t full yet,” she argued.
