Wagnão is injured and is out of Brave 8; replaced will be ex-UFC

With less than two weeks to go until the event, the Brave 8: The Rise of Champions card, which will take place in Curitiba, on August 12th, has undergone yet another change. Middleweight Wagner Silva, aka Wagnão, ex-UFC and TUF Brazil 3 participant, suffered an injury and was forced to leave his fight against Christiano “Urso” Frohlich. Another former Ultimate fighter was called in his place: the experienced Edilberto Crocotá.

At 34 years old, Crocotá has an extensive record of 46 fights, with 29 wins, 15 losses and two draws. His stint in the UFC took place in 2007, but lasted just two fights, being released after being knocked out by Paul Taylor and Luke Cummo. This will be Crocotá's debut on Brave.

Frohlich, in turn, will also make his first fight for the promotion, coming off three consecutive victories. Representative of Evolution Thai, “Urso”, who is also a newcomer to the organization, comes from three consecutive victories. At 26 years old, he has a record with seven positive results and three negative results.

Brave 8 will have two title fights. In the main fight of the night, the Brazilian Klidson Abreu faces German promise Timo Feucht, in a duel valid for the light heavyweight title. In the second most important attraction of the show, Lebanese Mohammad Fakhreddine and Englishman Carl Booth face off for the welterweight belt.
