Champion again, Jones returns to lead UFC weight-for-pound ranking

After knocking out Daniel Cormier, Jones returned to first place in the overall rankings, surpassing Johnson and McGregor

Jon Jones has plenty of reasons to celebrate his victory against Daniel Cormier at UFC 214, held last Saturday (29). After brutally knocking out his biggest rival, a feat that won him back the light heavyweight belt, the fighter returned to first place in the Ultimate weight-for-pound rankings. He passed Demetrious Johnson e Conor McGregor, which are now in second and third, respectively. Chris Cyborg, who won the women's featherweight belt, entered 13th place in the overall rankings.

Cormier, in turn, fell to seventh, but appears in first place in his home division. Another change in the category up to 93kg is due to Volkan oezdemir, who knocked out Jimi Manuwa in less than 40 seconds. The Swiss advanced to third, while the Englishman fell to fifth.

Demian Maia, defeated by Tyron woodley in the fight for the welterweight title, he lost two positions and is in third, being overtaken by Robbie Lawler e Stephen Thompson, which appear tied for first. Already Renan Barao, surpassed by aljamain sterling, does not even appear in the ranking anymore. Finally, Renato Moicano, finished by Brian ortega, dropped a step and is in tenth, while his tormentor rose to sixth place.
