It wasn't like that Demian Maia became UFC champion. Unable to impose his excellent jiu-jitsu, the Brazilian stopped the champion's good takedown defense Tyron woodley e was defeated in the second most important fight of UFC 214, this Saturday (29), in Anaheim (USA), which was worth the belt in the welterweight division (up to 77kg).

Demian attempted an incredible 25 takedowns, all of which were well defended by the champion. Unable to take the fight to the ground, the São Paulo native, although he tried to fight more on the feet, was inferior to Woodley's boxing, who was scoring points round by round, maintaining the category belt.
