During the broadcast of UFC 214, the biggest event of the year so far, Ultimate took advantage of the audience to announce its return to Brazil for the company's third and final show in the country in 2017: on October 28th, the organization arrives again in São Paulo for a show at Ginásio do Ibirapuera. There are no fights confirmed for the event yet.

This year, the UFC has already made two visits to Brazil, arriving in Fortaleza in March for the fight between Kelvin Gastelum e Vitor belfort, with victory for the North American. In June, Ultimate arrived in Rio de Janeiro for its annual pay-per-view card, with the title fight between the linear champion José Aldo and the interim Max Holloway – also ending with a victory for the Hawaiian.
The last time Ultimate held an event in São Paulo was in November last year. In the main fight, Rogério Minotouro lost the rematch to the North American Ryan bader e Thominhas Almeida e Claudia Gadelha they beat Albert Morales and Cortney Casey, respectively.
