Cowboy and Albini debut in the UFC rankings after knockout victories

A pair of Brazilian fighters shined in Long Island and appeared for the first time in the official UFC rankings

Alex Cowboy and Junior Baby Albini have plenty of reasons to celebrate their victories against Ryan LaFlare and Tim Johnson, respectively, in UFC Long Island, held last Saturday (22.) After knocking out their rivals in a brutal way, feats that earned him event performance bonuses, the two fighters appeared for the first time in the rankings of their respective categories.

Operating in the welterweight division, Cowboy appears 14th on the list, precisely the place occupied by his last victim. Albini, in turn, also entered 14th place among heavyweights, placing alongside names like Travis Browne and Andrei Arlovski. Johnson, knocked out by the Brazilian, was removed from the ranked list.

The rooster division also underwent changes. Jimmie rivera, which hit Thomas almeida By decision in Long Island, he moved up to 4th place, overtaking Brazilian John Lineker, who is now 5th. Another significant change occurred in the weight-for-weight ranking. Jon Jones, which was relisted last week, rose from 7th to 5th place, leaving behind Max Holloway, in 6nd, and cody garbrandt, the 7th.
