While many fans and fighters give their respective opinions on the boxing clash between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather, which will take place on August 26th, in Las Vegas (USA), a name that can speak with authority on the subject gave his opinion on the duel. Mike Tyson, former boxer and legend of the sport, was very skeptical about the Irishman's chances of defeating the North American.

“McGregor is going to be killed. I was crazy because I thought they were going to use MMA rules against boxing, because that's what it's all about: can a boxer beat an MMA athlete? Conor put himself in a stupid position where he's going to get knocked out, because this guy (Mayweather) has been doing this his whole life, since he (McGregor) was a little baby. And (in this fight) Conor won't be able to kick or grab and stuff like that. He won’t have much of a chance,” said Mike, during his appearance on Barstool Sports’ Pardon My Take podcast.
However, although he believes that Mayweather will have no difficulty defeating McGregor, Tyson admits that the fight has everything to be exciting. According to him, the provocations from both athletes helped to create great expectations for the day of the fight.
“It will be exciting. All of this is exciting, with a circus atmosphere, because you love what you're seeing, this Conor character. So, Floyd never encountered a character like this, who taunted him by saying, “What are you talking about, boy? Why do you have a book if you don’t know how to read?” I would like to say how disrespectful this is, but this is all so funny I can't stop laughing,” he concluded.
