Brazilians dominate UFC Long Island performance bonuses

Elizeu Capoeira has fight of the night with Lyman Good; Júnior "Baby" and Alex Cowboy win prize for knockouts in preliminaries

With six representatives and three victories in UFC Long Island, Brazil also dominated the performance bonuses of this Saturday’s event (22). All the prizes given by Ultimate involved someone from Brazil. The welterweight Elizeu Capoeira, who beat Lyman Good in a split decision, won, along with the American, the Fight of the Night award. Already Alex Cowboy and Junior “Baby” Albini won Performances of the Night for their knockouts.

The four fighters will receive an additional $50 in bonus pay for their fights. Cowboy and Albini had the main performances among Brazilians and achieved brutal knockouts in the preliminaries over Ryan LaFlare and Timothy Johnson, respectively. “Baby” was making his Ultimate debut and managed to win a victory over the 12th ranked player in the heavyweight rankings. Cowboy has already surpassed the 14th welterweight and the expectation is that both will enter the top 15 in their categories in the next edition of the rankings.

Yes, Elizeu Capoeira suffered with the former Bellator champion. In a very balanced fight, very exciting and full of twists and turns, the Brazilian ended up winning a split decision. The two exchanged blows at close range for 15 minutes and almost knocked each other out on several occasions. In the end, two of the three judges saw victory for the Brazilian.
