Cyborg, Gomi and Barnnett win at Sengoku debut

The first edition of Sengoku ended recently in Tokyo, Japan. In the main fight of the event, Josh Barnnet submitted Hidehiko Yoshida, in the third round, in a balanced fight. Takanori Gomi returned to the ring in style and beat American Duane Ludwig by technical knockout in the first round.

The Brazilians did not do well in the event, Fabrício Monteiro and Antonio Braga, representatives of Gracie Fusion, were defeated by Nick Thompson and Ryo Kawamura, respectively. The only Brazilian to win in the land of the rising sun was Cyborg Evangelist. The Chuteboxer submitted Makoto Takimoto with a heel hook with nine seconds remaining in the first round.
