The long-awaited rematch between the champion Amanda nunes e Valentina Shevchenko, valid for the women's bantamweight belt, already has a new date to take place. Ultimate rescheduled the duel for UFC 215, September 9th, in Edmonton, Canada. The information was given first-hand by the website 'Combate.com'.

Amanda Nunes justifies leaving UFC 213: 'I have chronic sinusitis'

The fight between the two fighters was scheduled to take place at UFC 213, held on the 8th. However, the Brazilian was removed from the show on the day of the event, after claiming health problems. Days later, she used social media to justify her absence from the event, claiming to suffer from chronic sinusitis.

Amanda and Valentina already faced each other in March 2016, when the Brazilian won by unanimous decision. After the confrontation, Nunes received the chance to face the then champion Miesha Tate at UFC 200, in July 2016, and took the belt from the American by submitting her in the first round. She defended her belt for the first time by knocking out Ronda Rousey at UFC 207 last December.

Shevchenko won the right to challenge the Lioness with two consecutive victories: first, in July 2016, she beat the former owner of the belt Holly holm by decision and then finalized Julianna Pena, last January. In Ultimate, she has three triumphs and one setback (14-2 in total).
