Without fighting since March of this year, when he was defeated by Leon edwards No. UFC London, welterweight Vincent Luque ensures he is ready to return to the octagon. Aiming for the next event that will take place in Brazil, on October 28th, in São Paulo, the Brazilian has already chosen who he would like to face on the card: the Belgian Tarec saffiedine, which was recently defeated by Rafael dos Anjos No. UFC Singapore, in June.

“I made several small mistakes during training, but the main one was accepting one fight after another. In 2016, everything was at a very intense pace. Leon's game was a grappling match, which is quite tiring, and I had made a mistake in my physical preparation, but that's over now. It ended up being an important defeat, because it allowed me to correct some mistakes, without putting me behind. It happens that, when we have one fight on top of another, we have a strong fighting rhythm, but end up losing our base, our school. And now I'm having time to improve my wrestling, my groundwork, my striking, so it's important. Sometimes it’s good to rest and focus on this base”, said Luque, who concluded by highlighting the support so that Demian Maia win the category belt at UFC 214, July 29th, when you will face the champion Tyron woodley.
“I believe that the category will have a new champion soon, Demian has a good chance of winning because he has the best ground game in the UFC. And he has managed to take fights to the ground in a different way, even against great wrestlers. My guess is that Demian wins by submission in the third round. Even though he's older, he has more gas than the Tyron woodley”He concluded.
Vincent Luque, just 25 years old, has a record of 11 wins, six defeats and one draw. In the UFC, he has four positive results and two negative results, having won all of his duels via the fast track (two knockouts and two submissions).
