Light weight Justin gaethje had an unforgettable UFC debut by enduring blows from Michael Johnson and knocking out “The Menace” in the second round of the main fight of TUF 25 Finale, last Friday (7). Less than a week after his first fight in the UFC, he already has a new challenge: he will be one of the coaches on the 26th season of The Ultimate Fighter. Ultimate President, Dana White, confirmed the news to journalists present at the press conference Conor McGregor x Floyd Mayweather this Thursday (13).

The other trainer will be former lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez, who lost his title at the historic UFC 205 in November last year to McGregor. After the defeat, Alvarez faced Dustin poirier at UFC 211, but the duel was unsuccessful. The “Underground King” was losing the fight, when he shook Poirier, but launched an illegal blow, which knocked out the “Diamante”. Dustin could not continue and the duel had no winner. Now he will try to win against Gaethje, the new UFC sensation.
The 26th season of The Ultimate Fighter will repeat the TUF 20 formula. On that occasion, 16 female strawweight athletes competed against each other and the winner, Carla esparza, was crowned the first champion of the category in the UFC. The same procedure will be carried out, but the women's flyweight will debut. The winner of TUF 26 will be the first owner of the division's belt in the history of Ultimate.
