The TUF 25 Finale will not bring good memories for Brazilian fighters. With three representatives at the event, held on Friday night (07), in Las Vegas (USA), the country left the Octagon without victories. Main Brazilian highlight show, Dhiego Lima was in the final of the 25th edition of TUF, the UFC's reality show, but ended up being finished by Jesse Taylor and missing out on the prize of US$290 – around R$951 – plus a six-figure contract with the organization. Still on the main card of the attraction, Marcel Fortuna was beaten by Jordan Johnson in the judges' decision. In the preliminary portion, Juliana Lima was submitted by Tecia Torres.

“This victory is for all the people who are screwed in life: move on! Never give up,” said Jesse Taylor, who was hospitalized for alcohol problems while still in the cage.

The former WSOP champion, who was making his UFC debut, went up, hitting his rival several times against the bars until he fell to the ground. Confident in the fight on his feet, Gaethje asked his rival to get up and continued the punishment. He once again pressed his rival against the bars, landing combinations of punches and knees until the referee stopped the fight and declared a technical knockout.
Marcel Fortuna loses first in UFC
After debuting with a surprising victory in the heavyweight division (up to 120 kg), Marcel Fortuna debuted in the original category, light heavyweight (up to 93 kg). However, the result was not what was expected. The Brazilian fought an even fight against Jordan Johnson. The North American got the better of the first round, but Marcel managed to connect the best blows in the second round and balance the dispute. With the fight tied, the third round would be responsible for defining the winner. Johnson once again took the initiative, controlled the distance and made Fortuna's attacks difficult.
At the end of 15 minutes, Jordan Johnson won the unanimous decision of the judges (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).
