After almost two years, Brazilian Rousimar Palhares, known as Toquinho, finally made peace with victory. And it was the 'house specialty'. This Friday (07), in the main fight of Fight Nights Global 70, in the city of Ulan-Ude, in Buryatia, Russia, the jiu-jitsu specialist needed just 37 seconds to lock in a calf lock on Alexei Ivanov, who quickly gave three taps in resignation.

At 37 years old, Toquinho had two consecutive defeats, both by knockout. Before submitting Ivanov, his last triumph had been against Jake Shields, at WSOF, in August 2015, an event in which he was champion, but ended up being fired after holding on too long in the submission against the American.
In 2013, he was fired from the UFC for the same reason. On that occasion, he held off a submission for longer than necessary in a fight against Mike Pierce. In total, Toquinho has 19 positive results and eight negative results on his record.
